From Queen Latifah's earrings to Notorious B.I.G.'s wardrobe and an essay Tupac Shakur wrote in junior high, the GRAMMY Museum's newest exhibit, "Hip-Hop America: The Mixtape," provided District 9 neighbors with a deep retrospective look at the global impact of hip-hop.

On Nov. 4,  Team Price sponsored a special tour for community members as a celebration of the genre's 50th anniversary and the influence it has had on fashion, music, dance, business, activism, and modern history.

The exhibit, which is on display until Sept. 24, 2024, includes costumes, cassette tapes, written lyrics, photographs, and other personal items from the foundational artists who helped shape hip-hop. For more information, visit GRAMMYmuseum.org.
