During the Council session, members approved a report from the Planning and Land Use Management Committee instructing several departments, including the City Attorney, to report on civil actions towards permanently closing unlicensed cannabis businesses throughout the City.
Despite the legalization of cannabis and cannabis-related activities, unlicensed businesses continue to proliferate and undermine the ability of legal cannabis businesses to operate competitively and fairly in the City. To learn more about the report, click here.
